I went to my local golf shop looking for an affordable alternative to Taylor Made TP Black and was introduced to the e6+. In spite of a rusty swing, early season conditions and a sustained 20+mph wind, I played the entire round with one ball. Distance off the tee was respectable; I hit and held firm greens with everything from 3 hybrid to sand wedge; and the e6+ felt responsive off the putter. What impressed me most, though, were the flight characteristics. No balloon shots or uncontrollable fades/slices playing with a cross- or head-wind, and acceptable height and spin on downwind pitches. Bottom line: this is one heckuva ball, and for 2 bucks a pop, it's an outstanding value.
straighter & farther

A great ball at a great price. I love the bridgestone Logo...hate the Titleist logo.

Let me start out by saying I am a 'regular' golfer. Not some pro or semi pro or scratch golfer. I shoot in the mid 90's and golf mostly at my county course in NJ.

Pros:

I love these e6+ Bridgestone's. They are nice and soft feeling, especially around the green. I feel like I am way more accurate because I can 'feel' the ball better for that oh so important short game. I am also putting better with them. I used them and am actually getting more accuracy out of my drives than I was with the Titleist NXT's I was using previously. Hit a couple of 250 yard drives with a slight fade into the fairway yesterday with them. I know, I know everyone drives 350 yards, I am just a regular golfer so my occasional 250 yard drives impress' me; but the ball doesn't fade as much as with other balls helping me stay on the short stuff and allowing me to get onto the dance floor in 2!

Cons: They are a little pricey. (But I bought two dozen and was pleasantly surprised to find that you can fill out a rebate to get a free Bridgestone Golf Polo Shirt.)
They are actually soft so I find that I slice into the cover between 9 and 18 holes. Once I do that I don't really like to use that ball anymore. So I feel like every full round costs me one ball (at a minimum ;) )
I don't like the straight line marking. It's not as simple as the ones on the Titleist. I find the red e6+ and Arrow to be distracting but am getting used to it.

Other than that I recommend checking out what Bridgestone has to offer. I know the ball you play with makes a huge difference. And tour balls belong on tour with pro golfers so save your money.

I am starting to find a serious problem with these balls. Since I wrote my review I have played 2 more rounds. The soft cover has become a real issue for me. I played hole 1 of my local course and finished and washed the ball. It was fine. Hit my second tee shot with the driver and ball went nicely out there. When i got up to it i noticed the cover had a cut. Not an overly unplayable cut but one that made me switch out the ball and put it away for my shag bag. I then played a few more holes and skulled a ball with my 5 iron. Again the cover got very scuffed and started to have a tear. I played it out with this one until i could see there was an actual cut. Then my second round the same issue with the tee shot landing on the fairway and the cover tearing but then the next one was fine for the rest of the round? Confusing. Either i got a batch that wasn't up to par or I am suddenly killing these balls. I have not had this issue with any other ball ever including e6+ from other dozens. I am going to try to play some from the second dozen i have and see if they have the same issue. if not then all is OK but if so i will update the review.

So I've ended up messing around with these e6+ a lot. I will say for sure, that i had a defective dozen or quite a few bad luck rounds with regards to the first dozen balls as the second dozen doesn't have any of the issues with the covers getting ruined that the first one did. Very Weird. I have also noticed that my tee shots get less distance with these balls but with 150 yards i am playing better. I think its a mental issue and has nothing to with the balls, but am going to get some Titleist NXT Tours and see if there is any difference. My opinion remains that these are great balls for regular golfers who are more than novices but not full blown amateurs. I have had greater success with them in and around the green and that remains. Manufacturing issues aside with that first dozen, they are good balls and worth a try for $25.
Really good balls for the price

I have to say, for the price, you'll be hard pressed to find a better ball. Truly underrated in the world of expensive Pro Vs. Now the e6+ is no Pro V, but it is long, fairly soft, and really consistant tee to green.

Again, for the price, you just can't beat the e6+. I highly recommend it.
worth every dollar

Equal to or better than more expensive brands out there. Wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

these balls so- so at best, both in terms of distance, feel and durability. Better to stick with the less expensive Titleist than go here.
