Product Description

The TEC Plus Men's Ti Matrix 425cc Driver features a deep face and maximum C.O.R. (coefficient of restitution) design. C.O.R. is a measure of how efficiently energy, in the form of velocity, is transferred between the ball and the club head. Essentially, a maximum C.O.R. means that the club head has the largest, USGA-legal "spring-like" effect. The titanium matrix construction is perfect for long shots off the tee. The graphite shaft is strong and stable, and the grip means the club will stay securely in your hand. This right-handed club delivers great distance and a low trajectory, and is great choice for any amateur looking for an affordable driver.

Great Value Driver

I wanted an inexpensive driver to use with my really old clubs. I recently played a round with a friend of mine who has a $300 driver, and we went yard-for-yard on our drives. He couldn't believe how inexpensive mine was! If you're an amateur like me, this is a great club for your weekend ball abuse.
Great Value

I saved $200 bucks on a name brand driver, this hits as well as ones sold for 3 times the price. I replaced an older Taylor Made that cost over a hundred bucks 20 years ago. If you are a weekend player, save your money for the name brand & get this one, it is every bit as good, has a graphite shaft also. Well worth the $[...] price.
For $20, you can't beat it...

I had been shopping for a good driver for a long time. I was looking to spend around $100-150 until I found this, I read a few reviews and decided to try it out.. first day out it took me about 6 holes to get used to it, but after that I was landing them nice and straight down the fairway with no trouble... Excellent for $20!

I've played several rounds with this club, so I now feel competent to review it. I'm a hacker (~100 per round), and my old driver was an old smaller headed Big Bertha Steelhead. I could hit it far, but I sprayed all over, left and right. It took a session at the range to get used to the TEC. It's a little heavier than some big-headed clubs, so for me, a stiff shaft might have been better than the regular stiffness that this club has. Also, I hit pretty high, so 10 degree loft might have been better for me. Despite that, I now hit the ball longer and more consistently. With the TEC, I either hit the ball straight or slice it. The hook is now totally out of play. So I can adjust my aim and fire away without fear of the ball going left. I'm VERY happy with how I play with the TEC. And for the price, I'm ecstatic.

Other info. This club is made in China, if that's an issue for you. Also, I'd recommend getting a cover for it. I've only played a few times, and I already notice a paint chip where I probably banged it on another club in the bag.
An amazing deal!

I own an older Callaway driver. It's a VFT model about 10 years old and was about $400. It has the smaller head compared to these larger headed drivers. I read the reviews on this very inexpensive driver. So I went for it. The first day on the driving range was just to get a feel for it without any great expectations. I was shocked at the performance of this driver. I'm used to the smaller head, so this driver was easy to get used to and felt great! I was hitting crappy range balls 275 yards right off the bat! I highly recommend this club.

Update: 4-30-2010. I went and played golf with the usual buddies I play with. I showed them my new driver right off the bat. They asked me what I paid for it, but I wouldn't tell them. I said I would after the round was over. The first Tee-Shot was awesome. Long and right down the middle. They thought I was just lucky with a new club. I out drove all of them. Then it happened again and again. By the 6th hole of the front 9, they were convinced it wasn't luck!

They practically begged me to tell them, but I still didn't. Throughout the round they kept guessing. I did say I got a great deal. None of them guessed less than $150. At the end of the round I told them $20. They just about crapped their pants! 2 of them are buying this club now! I also bought another one just in case something happens to the first one. At this price why not!
What a deal

Man, this is the best 20 bucks I have ever spent, hit two buckets at the range after getting the club and I was smashing the ball. I think I will buy another just to have or give away.
Really nice.
